About Margaret Puskar-Pasewicz

In addition to my PhD in History, I have over fifteen years of experience in editorial services for academic writers. I was employed for three years as a copyeditor and proofreader for the most widely distributed history journal in the US. I have a thorough understanding of proper grammar and am familiar with Chicago style and other writing styles. I have worked with dozens of graduate students and professors in the US and abroad.

I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and an industry professional for the Textbook & Academic Authors Association.

I am an experienced writer, including the composition of a doctoral dissertation, book reviews, scholarly essays, presentations for academic and general audiences, poetry, short stories, and a book-length manuscript. I have also edited and indexed an A-to-Z encyclopedia on vegetarianism. For more about my experience, here is my c.v. and résumé.

I live in Pittsburgh with my husband, son, and beagle. When I'm not editing, I'm usually knitting, reading, or re-watching episodes of Modern Family.
