About Margaret Puskar-Pasewicz

In addition to my PhD in History, I have almost two decades of experience in academic editing. I was employed for three years as a copyeditor and proofreader for the most widely distributed history journal in the US. For more about my experience, here are my c.v. and résumé. I am also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.

I enjoy working with scholars at any stage of the writing process from identifying a research topic to copyediting. In particular, I am experienced with supporting early-career scholars as they revise their dissertations into viable book manuscripts.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA. Besides my love of books, dogs, and The Great British Bake Off, I’m a long-time “amateur” knitter. More recently, I’ve been working on some creative writing of my own and spending less time on my phone.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to learn about your project and expectations as well as explain my services to ensure that I am a good fit. Please contact me to get started.
