About Margaret
In 2003, I completed my Ph.D. in History and have worked in the copyediting and writing industry for over fifteen years. I was employed for three years as a copyeditor and proofreader for the most widely distributed history journal in the U.S. I have a thorough understanding of proper grammar and spelling and am familiar with Chicago style and other writing styles. I have coached hundreds of writers from first-year college students to tenured professors.

I am an experienced writer, including the composition of a doctoral dissertation, book reviews, scholarly essays, presentations for academic and general audiences, poetry, short stories, and a book-length manuscript. I have also edited and indexed an A-to-Z encyclopedia on vegetarianism.

I live in Pittsburgh with my husband, son, and our two beagles. When I'm not editing, I'm usually reading, knitting, or rewatching episodes of the BBC's
